| | How can therapy help me?Each of us "handles" our problems or challenges the best we can. But, sometimes, our way is not working or is not working enough. Seeing a therapist does not mean that you are weak, crazy or a failure. Quite the opposite. It shows that you are taking matters into your own hands and are seeking help. I admire that. I have over 12 years of experience counseling clients with all sorts of issues and all levels of functioning. But, my private practice is for individuals and families like yours who need help moving through their pain, learning effective parenting or conflict resolution, improving their coping skills, or trying to stay together. If you feel lost and uncertain, angry or afraid, I'd like to help you reconnect with your true, authentic self, and let go of the person everyone wants or expects you to be. Then, you have room for true acceptance of yourself and others, with opportunity for renewed fulfillment in your life. Most importantly, our work together is confidential, supportive, and will go at your pace. You do not have to share every part of your life. I respect your right to privacy, and also to be heard. You do not have to be "an open book". There is no right or wrong way. We'll work together to find what works best for you. One of the unexpected things about therapy is that clients often benefit and continue to grow long after therapy ends. It's like taking a tool box with you when you leave. If you are interested in living the life you want, call me at (909) 260-2736. In the meantime, take care.
